New Age spirituality has taken the world by storm and surprisingly it is hitting the Church despite great access to biblical doctrine. Particularly, many people are lost and are questioning the idea of reincarnation, for which ancient religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and now New Age spirituality has hit mainstream spaces, convincing people that they have the power to control life after death. Questions of reincarnation have also been vaguely brought up amongst the Church, only to be cast aside or simply downplayed with clichés that don’t really go deeper into what it is all about. What is truly missing in this discussion is the biblical term resurrection and why it is an essential aspect of having a relationship with God.
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
John 11:25-26
With this video, instead of just providing a basic answer to what reincarnation is and where it came from, I dive into the depths of its common comparisons to resurrection, which is a similar but spiritually different term used in the word of God.
